Job summary

TransPak Inc. is seeking a crate builder to construct various sized wood crates using power tools. You’ll read cut sheets, measure accurately, and ensure safety procedures while assembling tops, bases, and skids as needed.

The role requires 3 months of carpentry experience, familiarity with power tools, and basic computer use to log job time. The position runs morning shift from 5am to 3:30pm, Monday through Thursday, at our Oregon location with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k,

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience in carpentry, construction and/or landscaping.
• Use of dimensional and electrical power tools.
• Basic computer skills to log in & out of jobs with employee ID number.

Responsibilities

• Builds various sized wood crates while safely using power tools.
• Uses tape measure to ensure measurements match the cut sheet up to 1/8 inch.
• Safe ladder use required when assembling crate tops.
• Assemble bases or skids for crates on the ground using a 20 pound, 3.5-inch nail gun while crouching or kneeling.
• Read, interpret, and document possible cut sheet or stenciling errors.
• Apply adhesives to crates and conduct specification checks.
• Follow standard operating procedures and report defects or maintenance needs.
