Job summary

Jasper Engines is seeking a Crank Polisher to grind crankshaft journals using a precision lathe. The role requires reading micrometers to accurately machine surfaces and moving parts between racks for loading and shipment.

You will set up the machine and perform preventive maintenance as needed, ensuring tolerances are met. The position is full-time with a Monday–Friday schedule, offering a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, ESOP, PTO, holidays,

Qualifications

• Must be able to read micrometers and interpret measurements.
• Ability to lift, bend and move up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for long shifts and work with handheld measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Grind crankshaft journals on a crankshaft grinding lathe.
• Position crankshaft from floor racks into the machine and back for shipment.
• Set up the machine and perform preventive maintenance as required.
• Inspect finished surfaces using micrometers and profilometers to ensure tolerances.

Job Description:Gas Engine - Crank PolisherJob Overview: Grinding crankshaft rod and main journals using a crankshaft grinding lathe. This is a self-directed position requiring the person to read and understand micrometers to accurately machine the surfaces. Requires positioning crankshaft from a floor rack into the machine and into a floor rack for shipment.
