Job summary

MGX Equipment Services in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a skilled Mechanic/Technician to inspect and service mobile cranes, including Grove RT & TMS, GMK European, Manitowoc EPIC and National Boom Trucks. The role reports to the Service Manager and requires two years of experience.

You will read electrical and hydraulic schematics, perform repairs, test equipment to OEM specs, document hours and reports, and provide excellent customer service in a dynamic branch environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with at least two years' experience as a Mechanic/Technician.
• Experience with Grove RT & TMS Cranes; GMK European Cranes; Manitowoc EPIC/Traditional Cranes; National Boom Trucks preferred.
• Must be able to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer focus.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Must purchase full set of hand tools up to 1.5 inches.

Responsibilities

• Operate and perform thorough inspection of cranes to diagnose defects.
• Diagnose, repair and troubleshoot mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes; repair hydraulic and electrical components.
• Read manuals, blueprints and drawings; interpret schematics.
• Test mechanical, electronic, electrical and hydraulic products after repair to OEM specs.
• Prepare for jobs by checking parts and drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform thorough and accurate annual inspections.
• Fill out working reports, hours reports, time sheets and expense reports.
• Work independently without direct supervision and provide excellent customer service.
