Job summary

American Equipment Holdings (AEH) is seeking an Experienced Crane Service Technician to join the Salt Lake City, UT area. You will perform on-site maintenance, repairs, and installations on overhead cranes and hoists, with opportunities across Level 1 through Master level.

Advancement is based on demonstrated skills and certifications; a sign-on bonus is provided for experienced technicians. Travel may be required with a company vehicle provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications preferred.
• Experience in crane service or industrial maintenance.
• Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Able to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work at heights in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes
• Consult with customers on repair and safety related issues
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns
• Generate sales leads during service calls
• Accurately and neatly document on the service report for the work performed
• New crane wiring, assembly, installation, and start-up
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Travel may be required; work vehicle provided

Position Summary

We are seeking Experienced Crane Service Technician to join our team in the Salt Lake City, UT area. We hire and develop technicians across multiple experience levels (Level 1 through Master level). This advanced-level position is ideal for experienced technicians with strong mechanical and electrical skills. You will be responsible for performing complex inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and installations on overhead cranes and hoists, including systems with advanced auxiliary components. Advancement is based on demonstrated skills, experience, performance, and certifications. Technicians at all levels perform field service, repairs, and inspections on overhead cranes, hoists, and related lifting equipment.

Sign on bonus provided to experience Crane Service Technicians.
