Job summary

American Equipment Holdings is seeking a Crane Service Technician – Level 2 to service overhead cranes and hoists on-site. You will inspect, maintain, repair, and install, with focus on electrical and mechanical systems and safety. Travel to customer sites is expected; a vehicle is provided.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years electro-mechanical maintenance experience and may have a A.A. degree or equivalent vocational training. PLC/VFD experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance experience.
• A.A. degree or equivalent vocational training.
• Strong knowledge of AC/DC theory and 480VAC 3-phase motor control.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
• Must pass drug screen and background check.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Willingness to work overtime and travel as needed.
• Experience with Variable Frequency Drives and PLC programming (preferred).
• Crane maintenance experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site preventive maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes.
• Consult with customers on repair and safety related issues.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.
• Generate sales leads during service calls.
• Accurately document the service report.
• Perform new crane wiring, assembly, installation, and start-up.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Travel to customer facilities as required; a company vehicle is provided.
