Job summary

Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental, Elk Mound, WI, is seeking a Crane Rental Estimator & Outside Sales Representative to grow the branch and serve the surrounding area. This full-time, exempt role offers a comprehensive benefits package and commission eligibility after training.

Occasional overnight travel may be required and prior crane experience is valued. You will market and sell services, evaluate job sites, provide professional quotes, enter CRM data, coordinate sales efforts, and analyze market

Qualifications

• Customer service oriented with strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office and CRM experience.
• Crane/Aerial rental or construction equipment rental experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Market and sell for the Elk Mound branch and surrounding area.
• Evaluate job sites and provide professional quotes.
• Log customer interactions in the CRM daily.
• Coordinate sales efforts and analyze customer potential.
• Report activity and results to management.
• Analyze pricing, products, and marketing trends.
• Recommend product/service/policy changes based on market data.
• Investigate customer complaints and propose solutions.
• Maintain sales records and generate historical reports.
• Keep technical knowledge current via workshops.

Position Summary

Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental has a career opportunity for a Crane Rental Estimator & Outside Sales Representative for the Elk Mound, WI branch and surrounding area. This is a full-time, exempt position with comprehensive Benefits package in a casual business environment. Commission eligibility after an initial training period. Experienced Crane Operators looking to make a career change are encouraged to apply. Occasional overnight travel in the area may be required.

Essential Functions

• Marketing and sales for the Elk Mound branch and surrounding area.
• Evaluating job sites to provide the most efficient and effective way to perform the task safely, and then providing the customer a professional quote.
• Daily input into the CRM system of all existing and potential customer interaction.
• Coordinating sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of customers.
• Communicating with management by submitting activity and results reports on a regular basis.
• Analyzing current marketplace information on pricing, available products, marketing and merchandising techniques, etc.
• Submitting recommendations on changes in products, services, policies, etc., based on evaluation of current competitive developments.
• Providing great Customer Service by investigating customer complaints, developing solutions and making recommendations to management.
• Maintaining records on area and customer sales; providing historical reports. The successful candidate would be required to maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending technical workshops, reviewing professional and industry-related publications, establishing personal networks, etc.

Skills and Experience Requirements

• Customer Service oriented; good communication skills; closing skills, territory management; prospecting, presentation and negotiation skills; self-confidence and motivation; product knowledge and ability to maintain client relationships.
• Tech savvy - Experience with Microsoft Office, CRM, and Apple products.
• Crane/Aerial Rental, or Construction Equipment Rental experience highly desired.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable MVR.
