Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services operates heavy cranes and power-driven machinery to move dirt and materials. Operates equipment such as backhoes, bulldozers, cranes, and other listed machines, under established guidelines.

The role requires setup, operation, and adjustment of equipment, adherence to safety rules, and teamwork in a full-time, 4/10 schedule (Mon–Thu). Strong focus on reliability and proper material handling is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent with prior experience in the field.
• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.
• Follows instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions.
• Work under immediate supervision and report to a supervisor or manager.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates production equipment per guidelines and procedures.
• Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately and on time.
• Move levers to control diesel, electric, gasoline or steam-powered equipment.
• Interpret hand signals to determine where to place materials.
• May operate on unlevel surfaces and assist in lifting, positioning and securing materials.
• May perform routine maintenance or repairs on equipment.
• Observe and comply with safety and project rules.
• Perform other duties as required.
