Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks an experienced crane operator to set up and operate production equipment per guidelines. This role requires reading load charts, ensuring safety, and working with other crew on lifts.

You will operate cranes, dump trucks, and other machines, perform routine maintenance, and follow all safety rules. A high school diploma and prior heavy-equipment experience are preferred; training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and experience in the field.
• Knowledge of common concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.
• Follows instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the job.
• Works under immediate supervision.
• Primary job functions do not require independent judgment.
• Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates production equipment according to guidelines.
• Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately and on time.
• Move levers to control diesel, electric, gasoline or steam-powered equipment.
• Interpret hand signals to determine material placement.
• May operate on unlevel surfaces.
• Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing materials during installation.
• May perform routine maintenance or repairs.
• Observe safety and project rules.
• Perform other duties as required.
