Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a skilled operator to run power-driven machinery used to move dirt and materials. You will set up equipment, adjust settings, and follow precise instructions to meet specifications on site.

Responsibilities include handling diverse heavy equipment, interpreting signals, and assisting with material placement while maintaining safety and performing routine maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; experience in the field preferred.
• Follows established guidelines and relies on supervisor direction.
• Emphasizes safety and compliance with project rules.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates production equipment according to guidelines.
• Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately and on time.
• Move levers to control diesel, electric, gasoline or steam-powered equipment.
• Interpret load signals to position materials correctly.
• Maintain or assist in lifting and securing materials during installation.
• Perform routine maintenance or repairs as required.
• Observe all safety and project rules and procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.
