Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• Experience operating overhead cranes in manufacturing, warehouse, or steel service center environments is expected.
• Knowledge of rigging practices, load charts and material handling equipment is required.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, inventory labels and safety instructions is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Operate overhead bridge cranes, jib cranes, and forklifts to move and unload steel coils, sheets, and bundles.
• Safely lift, transport, and position materials to and from processing lines and storage racks.
• Load and unload trucks and railcars per shipping schedules.
• Perform daily crane inspections and complete safety checklists.
• Maintain accurate material identification and inventory placement per system.
• Coordinate material flow with machine operators and supervisors.
• Adhere to safety rules, OSHA regulations, and rigging best practices.
• Support a clean and organized work environment and report issues promptly.
