Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials, LLC is seeking a Material Handler to work on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery. You will operate cranes, forklifts, and other handling equipment, perform inspections, and ensure setup notes meet work order specifications.

You will maintain safety and accuracy in processing and packaging operations. The role requires certification in material handling, ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and basic math and recording of measurements.

Qualifications

• Must be certified in the material handler position.
• Ability to read and write.
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Experience with forklifts preferred.
• Knowledge of lean and quality activities.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
• Pull, inspect and verify product before processing.
• Set up equipment to run material per work order specifications.
• Process setup notes per work order specifications and record measurements.
• Communicate with sales regarding changes to orders.
• Perform equipment preventive maintenance and general clean-up.
• Enter/delete material identification tags as instructed.
• Assist in packaging and weigh/measure materials.
• Identify, record, and segregate scrap or non-conforming material.
• Provide feedback on machine efficiency and product quality.
