Ellwood National Steel is seeking a diligent operator to inspect, receive and unload railroad cars and trucks carrying scrap metal. You will load charge buckets, handle materials, and operate mobile equipment in a high‑noise, extreme-weather setting.
The role supports maintenance and backup for arc furnaces, with cross-training opportunities. A high school diploma or GED is required, plus the ability to read procedures and perform basic math in a fast-paced plant environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb and bend. The employee is regularly required to use hand and fingers to handle objects and controls and reach with arms and hands. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works in extreme weather, is frequently exposed to airborne particles and occasionally exposed to fumes. The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
