Ellwood National Steel Company in Irvine, PA is seeking a laborer to join our yard team. You will inspect, receive, and unload railroad cars and trucks of scrap metal, perform material handling tasks, and assist with maintenance and relining of an arc furnace.
This role requires a HS diploma or GED, the ability to read procedures, basic math, and clear communication with customers. Crane operation experience is preferred but not required.

What You'll Do:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb and bend. The employee is regularly required to use hand and fingers to handle objects and controls and reach with arms and hands. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works in extreme weather, is frequently exposed to airborne particles and occasionally exposed to fumes. The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
