Job Summary

The Crane Operator/Loader is responsible for handling materials related to shipping and receiving inventory and customer orders. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely.
• Understand product details, including color coding and customer specifications; read and interpret measuring devices.
• Unload inbound shipments and load outbound shipments, ensuring all paperwork is completed.
• Safely load trucks, including proper chaining and tarping of trailers.
• Perform other duties to support warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of overhead crane operation experience in an industrial or distribution setting.
• Valid certification to operate overhead cranes.
• High School diploma or GED, or 1-3 months of related experience/training, or an equivalent combination.
• Understanding of DOT regulations regarding load weight.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic.
• Willing to learn new skills and train others.
• Able to pass a physical exam for vision, hearing, and mobility.
• Reliable work history and attention to detail.
