Overview

Heavy Equipment Operator Location: Grand Junction, CO Reports To: Plant Manager

Summit Materials is seeking a mechanically inclined, safety-focused Loader Operator to operate front-end loaders in a Sand and Gravel or Asphalt Manufacturing environment. Success in this role depends on being a team player, supporting your co-workers, and seeking opportunities for mutual success.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to support daily plant production and operations.
• Assist with plant maintenance, including belt repairs, screen changes, and bearing replacements.
• Perform welding and fabrication duties as needed.
• Identify safety hazards and equipment malfunctions, responding appropriately.
• Work evenings and weekends as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
