Job summary

Orizon Aerostructures is seeking a Level I Crane Operator to support the precision lifting and positioning of heavy aircraft components in a manufacturing setting in Kansas. You will follow strict safety protocols, inspect lifting gear, and adhere to detailed work instructions while maintaining production schedules.

Responsibilities include assisting in material support, ensuring rig lines and slings are safe, completing required paperwork, and communicating with supervisors for safe, efficient

Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills for clocking in/out, Factory Trak, Syteline.
  • Clear and effective communication.
  • Accurately complete required paperwork (Work Orders, inspection records, certificates).
  • Identifying and controlling nonconforming product.
  • In process inspection activities.
  • Production metrics tracking.
  • Problem solving in daily operations.
  • AS9100 standards awareness.
  • OSHA 29 CFR 1926 regulations compliance.
  • Orizon crane training certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in material support to ensure timely delivery to customers.
  • Ensure rig lines are tight to reduce swing and protect products.
  • Check rigging hardware and lifting slings for damage before and after use.
  • Follow OSHA regulations and crane lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Maintain production records and logs for production purposes.
  • Communicate with Supervisors, Riggers, and Operators for safe transfers.
  • Maintain tools and ensure preventive maintenance is completed.
  • Report non-conformances to Lead, Maintenance and/or Production Supervisor.
  • Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to supervisors.
  • Report job status and production restraints to Team leaders and Supervisors.
  • Maintain production schedule and quality/production goals.
  • Maintain clean working areas and accurate inventory of tools.
  • Maintain positive, safe interactions with coworkers and customers.
  • Work extended hours, overtime, and weekends when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
  • FOD-free and non-conformance strongly preferred.
