MWH Constructors is seeking a Crane Operator for a critical wastewater treatment plant construction project in Austin, Texas. The role requires operating a 250-ton crane, rigging, signaling, and daily safety inspections.

Qualified candidates will have 1–3 years’ crane experience, RTC80130 certification, and Rigging Level 1. Pre-employment screening applies; competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; must be 18+, valid driver’s license.
• 1-3 years’ experience operating large cranes (250 tons, 4000w).
• RTC80130 certification required; Signal Person Level 1; Rigging Level 1 per 1926 Subpart CC.
• Ability to read safety rules, load charts, and manuals; understand load limits.

Responsibilities

• Operate crane under general supervision.
• Control crane speed and direction per instructions.
• Inspect crane daily for safety issues and report defects.
• Complete job tickets and paperwork.
• Lift and position machinery and materials at sites; verify load weights.
• Participate in critical lift planning; follow signals from helper.
