Job summary

Metals USA is seeking a Crane Operator at our Jeffersonville, IN location. The role requires operating cranes safely, loading and unloading materials, and coordinating with production lines to ensure timely delivery.

You will work in a large metals processing company offering growth opportunities and a strong benefits package. Remember to follow OSHA standards, read tape measures and calipers, and maintain accurate paperwork for shipments and inventory.

Qualifications

• Reading and writing English is required.
• Understanding safety rules, procedures, OSHA standards and regulations is required.
• Must exercise judgment and follow company policies.
• Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to crane operations.
• Ability to load/unload material using material handling equipment.
• Must be able to read a measuring tape and caliper.

Responsibilities

• Locate material allocated to the job and move it to the proper machine.
• Stage material from production equipment on the correct skid per work instruction and prepare for shipment.
• Load trucks and complete all relevant paperwork.
• Perform sheet pulls when needed.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.
