Job description

Archer Western is currently seeking a Crane Operator for the Elbow Rd Project in Virginia Beach, VA.

The Crane Operator's primary function is to operate a crane at the worksite to construct, maintain, or repair highway, heavy civil, or building structures. Equipment operators are also expected to assist with other duties around the jobsite as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate a crane to complete tasks such as driving pylons, setting beams, and assisting with rigging.
• Have knowledge of operating procedures related to loading and unloading materials.
• Perform routine maintenance, oiling, greasing, and safety checks on equipment; complete necessary paperwork and documentation.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of operating experience preferred.
• Crane operator license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to adhere to safety policies and procedures, and communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; ability to stand, bend, kneel, or sit for long periods.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
