Job summary

Prince seeks a dependable crane operator to join our outdoor crew in Florida. You will observe load hookup, regulate crane speed and direction, attach loads as needed, and perform routine cleaning and preventative checks.

This full-time position requires standing, walking, lifting, and working in hot weather and around traffic. You must comply with safety rules and be ready for long shifts, up to ten hours per day, five days a week.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, kneel, walk, lift, bend, stoop, push and pull for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work on average ten (10) hours per day, five days (and occasionally six days) per week.
• All work is performed outdoors in Florida heat and rain; and around heavy highway traffic areas.

Responsibilities

• Observes load hookup and determines safety of load
• Manipulates or depresses crane controls, such as pedals, levers, and buttons, to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions
• Cleans and maintains crane and hoisting mechanism
• Inspects crane for defective parts and notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions
• May attach load to hook or other crane accessory prior to operating crane
• Other duties as assigned
