Job summary

Prince in Florida is seeking a crane operator to perform load hookups, operate crane controls, and maintain safety for all lifted loads outdoors. The role requires vigilance and adherence to safety protocols in active work zones.

Applicants should be prepared for long hours, typically ten hours a day, five days a week with occasional six-day weeks, and exposure to Florida heat, rain, and nearby highway traffic.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, kneel, walk, lift, bend, stoop and push/pull for long periods.
• Must work about ten hours per day, five days (and occasionally six) per week.
• Outdoor work in Florida heat/rain; around heavy highway traffic areas.

Responsibilities

• Observes load hookup and determines safety of load.
• Manipulates or depresses crane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane/hoist.
• Cleans and maintains crane and hoisting mechanism.
• Inspects crane for defective parts and notifies supervisor of defects.
• May attach load to hook or other crane accessory prior to operating crane.
• Other duties as assigned.
