Job summary

Prince Contracting, LLC is seeking a crane operator to monitor load hookup and safety, and to operate crane controls to manage hoist movement in outdoor settings across Florida.

The role involves performing/assisting with rigging, daily crane maintenance, inspections for defects, and supporting various duties as needed, including working long hours outdoors in heat and adverse weather.

Qualifications

• Experience operating cranes and rigging equipment.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and inspections.
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Observe load hookup and determine safety of load.
• Manipulate or depress crane controls to regulate speed/direction of crane/hoist.
• Clean and maintain crane and hoisting mechanism.
• Inspect crane for defective parts and notify supervisor of defects.
• May attach load to hook or other crane accessory prior to operating crane.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Must be able to stand, kneel, walk, lift, bend, stoop, push and pull for long periods of time
• Must be able to work on average ten (10) hours per day, five days (and occasionally six days) per week
• All work is performed outdoors in Florida heat and rain; and around heavy highway traffic areas.
