Job summary

Prince Contracting, LLC is seeking a crane operator to observe load hookup and determine load safety, and to regulate crane and hoist movement from signals and written instructions. Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, kneel, walk, lift, bend, stoop, push and pull for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work long hours, typically ten hours per day, five days (occasionally six).
• All work is performed outdoors in Florida heat and rain; around heavy highway traffic areas.

Responsibilities

• Observes load hookup and determines safety of load.
• Manipulates or depresses crane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.
• Cleans and maintains crane and hoisting mechanism.
• Inspects crane for defective parts and notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions.
• May attach load to hook or other crane accessory prior to operating crane.
• Other duties as assigned.
