Bracken Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a Crane Operator to safely operate mobile, crawler, hydraulic, and rough-terrain cranes on our heavy industrial projects in Merritt Island, Florida.

You will perform inspections, follow lift plans, read load charts, coordinate with riggers and supervisors, and uphold OSHA and company safety standards while contributing to on-time, safe project completion.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years crane operating experience in construction or industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of crane safety standards, rigging practices, and load calculations.
  • Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
  • Work overtime hours as necessary to meet project deadlines.
  • Regular, punctual attendance is required.

Job description

The Crane Operator is responsible for safely operating mobile, crawler, hydraulic, and rough-terrain cranes to support heavy industrial construction projects. This role performs critical lifting operations involving structural steel, heavy equipment, and process machinery while maintaining the highest standards of safety, precision, and teamwork. The Crane Operator collaborates with riggers, signal persons, and field supervision to execute lift plans, protect personnel and equipment, and help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Physical Demands
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures and a loud and dusty environment.
  • Climb, stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
