Job summary

Saulsbury is seeking a Crane Operator to operate a stationary or traveling crane at job sites. This role requires ensuring loads are safely attached and operated as instructed, with attention to control levers and safety protocols. The operator may drive to worksites and perform related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities include operating 70–100 ton cranes, adjusting booms per signals, performing routine maintenance, and maintaining a strong safety focus on setup, knockdown, and operation.

Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable in OSHA Regulations and ANSI standards in crane operations.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test, background check, and fit for duty test.
  • Must possess a current NCCCO or equivalent crane operator certification.

General Information/Job Summary

Responsible for operating a stationary or traveling crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads. Depresses buttons, lifts levers, and ensures load is safely attached to crane before bringing it down.

Responsibilities/Competencies
  • Operate a 70 - 100-ton
  • May operate crane according to signals from personnel or helper may bolt, pin boom sections together to modify boom lengths.
  • Perform routine maintenance.
  • Take complete charge of all safety pertaining to set up and knockdown and operation of crane.
  • Drives trucks to worksites and unloads trucks.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Safety Requirements

On a continual basis, promotes an awareness of environmental, health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment and ensures compliance with all accompany policies.

Ability to pass drug test as mandated by the Saulsbury Industries and Department of Transportation anti-drug program.

Must attend and successfully complete Saulsbury Industries safety training education.

Attends safety meetings and specialty training as directed by management.

Attends various training classes as may be assigned by management.

Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.

Ability to take needed safety precautions in performing the work.
