Job description

Job Title: Process Operator/Crane

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Duration: 12-month contract

Pay Rate: $23.00/hr on W2

Description:

The primary purpose of this position is to set up and operate equipment and processes for various phases of transition manufacturing. This equipment includes automation and requires the following responsibilities:

1. Equipment Operation: Set up and operate equipment such as robotic grit blast, furnaces, robotic coating booths, laser hole cutters, and more, across three phases. Interpret detailed drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine necessary tools and operations.
2. Material Handling: Use cranes and forklifts to load/unload parts, assist crane operators, and perform minor equipment operations like changing nozzles and verifying oil levels.
3. Teamwork and Maintenance: Assist colleagues, maintain work areas, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure proper tooling and fixtures are in place.
4. Quality and Inspection: Support quality testing, measurement, and data recording to ensure adherence to tolerances and specifications.
5. Qualifications: 2-3 years of trades training with experience working with stainless alloys, blueprints, and metrology. Ability to use precision measuring devices and perform measurement conversions. Certification in forklift, crane operation, and LPI preferred.
6. Skills: Strong judgment, initiative, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols. Good manual dexterity and physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with attention to safety and PPE requirements.

Work environment involves exposure to noise, dirt, oils, chemicals, and varying physical positions. Safety and adherence to company policies are paramount.
