Job summary

Sterling Crane LLC in Texas is seeking a Mechanic to perform maintenance and repair of company equipment in the yard and at job sites. You will follow preventative maintenance programs, manage parts inventory, and keep accurate maintenance records. CDL eligibility and background checks apply.

This role involves working in both indoor and outdoor environments with physically demanding tasks, and requires strong communication with internal customers and vendors. DOE compensation is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years mechanic repair and maintenance experience with heavy equipment.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of heavy equipment.
• Must be able to meet company standards on background screen and pass both pre-employment drug and physical screens.
• Valid driver license with ability to obtain CDL

Responsibilities

• Inspects, evaluates and recommends repair and/or replacement of equipment and vehicles.
• Performs maintenance activities and modifies existing equipment and systems to keep the facility and equipment in optimal working order.
• Maintains appropriate inventory of repair parts and supplies while ensuring accurate coding and organization.
• Adherence to preventive maintenance program for all equipment.
• Coordinates activities between maintenance personnel and other departments, ensuring maintenance activities are completed effectively and efficiently.
• Maintains logs and communicates updates to management.
