Job summary

TNT Crane and Rigging Inc. is seeking a full-time Crane Technician Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on cranes, forklifts, and related equipment at our Houston shop. You will follow safety policies, work with independent initiative, and occasionally travel. A valid TX license, TWIC, and 40 lb lift capability are required.

The role emphasizes hands-on diagnostics, reading manuals and drawings, and documenting maintenance and repair records to OEM standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (trade school diploma preferred).
• At least 3 years of experience as mobile truck mechanic / technician able to inspect cranes and diagnose defects.
• Experience as a mechanic with electrical and hydraulics in modern crane technology.
• Reads and understands operating, parts manuals, and technical drawings.
• Tests mechanical, electronic, electrical, and hydraulic products and equipment after repair or modifications to ensure proper operation and compliance with OEM specifications.
• Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision.
• Observe and maintain all equipment according to all safety requirements.
• Possess valid driver's license, clean driving record; current Texas Department of Public Safety class C driver’s license.
• Have a TWIC card or be able to readily acquire a TWIC card.
• Assume some travel required.
• Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs (ability to safely lift over 50 lbs).
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.
• Understand electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits a plus.
• Must be able to work some evenings and weekends at the shop.
• Ability to verbally communicate safety issues to customers and co-workers on location before and during job task.

Responsibilities

• Supply your own tools with up to date tool inventory (Company will provide specialty tools).
• Perform scheduled maintenance on cranes, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Document all maintenance and repairs performed on the equipment and file records properly.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Pass a drug screen and background check.
• Verify safety issues verbally to customers and co-workers on location before and during job task.
• Reports to Supervisor and/or Lead Mechanic on completion of assigned job task for next assignment.
• Other duties as assigned.

TNT Crane and Rigging Inc. is currently seeking a full time experienced Crane Technician Mechanic to help build our branch location. The mechanic will perform maintenance and repairs on cranes, forklifts, and other various equipment. Follows all State and Federal laws while operating motor vehicles. Follows all safety and environmental policies while performing job tasks.

• Experience as a mechanic with electrical and hydraulics in modern crane technology.
