Job summary

CMC is seeking an industrial maintenance technician in Columbia, SC to maintain overhead cranes and electrical systems across our facilities. The role involves hands-on work with cranes, AC drives, PLCs, and power circuits in a fast-paced industrial setting.

You will diagnose, repair, and document maintenance activities, ensuring safety and reliability of equipment. A minimum of one year in industrial maintenance or military background is required, with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• At least one year in industrial maintenance or equivalent military experience.
• Experience troubleshooting 480VAC 3-phase motor control systems.
• Ability to provide written/electronic reports and verbally communicate with customers.
• Ability to work at heights greater than six feet off the ground.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of overhead cranes.
• Heavy emphasis on electrical maintenance.
• Electrical systems, AC Drives, Static Stepless, AC Contactor, and PLC controls.
• 3 Phase 480 power, AC magnet controllers and DC magnet controllers.
• Mechanical systems, gearboxes, wheels, couplings, and structure.
