Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Crane Maintenance Technician III to join our 2nd shift Industrial Maintenance team in Davenport, IA. This role focuses on maintaining cranes, hoists and related mechanical systems in a fast-paced industrial environment.

You will troubleshoot, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and travel locally as needed. Candidates must have a high school diploma and pass a crane-related qualification; OSHA PPE and safety practices are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience troubleshooting cranes and hoists OR 1 year of mechanical experience along with a tech school.
• Crane certification isn't required to start but you must be able to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Responds to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventive and corrective maintenance on cranes, hoists, and related mechanical systems.
• Safely performs duties following safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures and wearing PPE.
• Identifies and corrects safety-related issues and performs independent equipment evaluations to identify potential failures.
• Performs general maintenance of equipment.
• Works at heights 6 to 30 ft above ground.
• Travels to other sites as needed in the local area (Davenport, Moline, QC).
