Job summary

Seaboard Marine is seeking a hands-on Crane/Laborer to perform maintenance, cleaning, and preparation work on company cranes and related equipment. The role includes assisting in the Power Shop area and daily yard operations in a busy port environment.

The position requires basic English, ability to read and follow procedures, and flexibility to work extended hours, holidays, or weekends as needed. A TWIC card is required within 30 days.

Qualifications

• This job requires use of common hand and power tools and basic English communication.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak basic English.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including extended hours, holidays, or weekends.
• Ability to work independently with initiative, and manage time effectively.
• Must obtain a TWIC card within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Wash and clean all company cranes.
• Prepare cranes for painting and paint crane parts.
• Maintain crane supplies inventory on each crane.
• Assist with crane preventive maintenance.
• Perform general maintenance in Power Shop area.
• Wash heavy equipment and back up Power Shop Laborer.
• Sweep and wash empty containers.
• May assist with cargo transfer between containers.
• May rearrange cargo for fumigation.
• Assist with agriculture inspections.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings at all times.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
