Job summary

Seaboard Marine is seeking a diesel mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment, including cranes. Candidates should diagnose and overhauls diesel engines, read diagrams, and work with a range of tools to ensure peak performance.

Must be able to obtain a TWIC card within 30 days and work flexible hours. Role requires strong communication, teamwork, and safety discipline in a shop environment, with opportunities for growth and advancement within the

Qualifications

• Full diesel mechanic – two or more years of experience diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and overhauling diesel engines.
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems components.
• Must be able to read, write and speak basic English.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and extended hours, weekends, holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform full maintenance of the fleet including vehicles, mules, forklifts and top loaders.
• Inspect, diagnose, repair and overhaul diesel engines and gas-powered equipment.
• Determine vehicle condition via inspections and diagnostic tests and replace worn parts.
• Maintain shop area and comply with safety policies and procedures.
