Job summary

Central Stone Company in Jefferson Barracks, St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Crane & Heavy Equipment Operator for a full-time, hourly role with day shifts, Monday–Friday and occasional Saturdays depending on season.

You will operate large cranes and heavy machinery, perform pre-shift inspections, and support terminal processing equipment, with emphasis on safety and reliability. The position requires pre-employment physicals, drug screening, and background checks.

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating large cranes and heavy equipment.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Safety-focused with ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety and environmental rules and procedures per MSHA and company policies.
• Operate Manitowoc 4000 crane, Komatsu PC650 excavator, Grove 70t crane, and other terminal equipment; assist with unloading and maintenance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and pre-shift inspections; repair/clean equipment as needed.
• Communicate with plant management on safety, maintenance and production needs.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Central Stone has an immediate opening for a Crane & Heavy Equipment Operator position at our Jefferson Barracks location, in St. Louis , MO. This is a full-time, hourly position with the local Operators 513, working day hours, Monday – Friday, with occasional Saturdays depending on the season.

Major Crane & Heavy Equipment Operator responsibilities include:

• Follow all safety and environmental rules, regulations and procedures as set forth by company policies and MSHA
• Operating Manitowoc 4000 Crane unloading barges, operating Komatsu PC650 excavator unloading fertilizer barges, Grove 70t crane unloading rebar from railcars, operating various quarry equipment, and performing maintenance on terminal processing equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and pre-shift inspections; repair and/or clean equipment as needed
• Communicate with plant management team on all safety, maintenance, and production needs
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
