Job summary

Central Stone Company in Pittsfield, IL is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for a full-time, day-shift role. The position requires proven mechanical skills, welding ability, and experience operating and maintaining heavy equipment safely in a production environment.

As part of the RiverStone team, you will follow all safety rules, perform preventive maintenance and pre-shift inspections, and communicate needs to management.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical skills and welding experience.
• Experience maintaining and operating heavy equipment.
• Ability to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditions.
• Safety-conscious with adherence to MSHA and company rules.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety and environmental rules, regulations and procedures as set forth by company policies and MSHA.
• Operate and monitor all equipment and production area safely and efficiently.
• Perform preventive maintenance and pre-shift inspections; repair and/or clean equipment as needed.
• Communicate with plant management team on all safety, maintenance, and production needs.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Our ideal candidate would possess proven mechanical skills, welding, and experience maintaining and operating heavy equipment!

Heavy Equipment Operator major responsibilities include:

• Follow all safety and environmental rules, regulations and procedures as set forth by company policies and MSHA
• Operate and monitor all equipment and production area safely and efficiently
• Perform preventive maintenance and pre-shift inspections; repair and/or clean equipment as needed
• Communicate with plant management team on all safety, maintenance, and production needs
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
