Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to diagnose and repair industrial cranes and related equipment. The role involves electrical and mechanical work, preventive maintenance, and work order logging in a CMMS.

You will work with minimal supervision on complex repairs, and will need to maintain a strong safety focus, including LOTO procedures. Weekend work may be required and a strong background in heavy manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• AAS/AOS in Mechanical or Electrical, military courses, or journeyman credentials as applicable.
• Willingness to work weekends or after-hour call-ins.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and perform preventive maintenance and extensive repairs with minimal direction.
• Maintain and modify crane assemblies and related equipment including motors, guards, drives, and gear boxes.
• Apply strong mechanical and electrical knowledge and safety practices (schematics, measurement tools, LOTO).
• Order materials and manage spare parts levels as needed.
• Operate access equipment to reach work areas and perform required tasks.
• Document maintenance checks and service in the CMMS and complete work orders.
