Qualifications

• Basic computer literacy and data entry.
• Ability to transport materials and equipment as directed.
• Skilled in safe lifting and positioning of loads to minimize swing.
• Ability to interact professionally with customers, sales reps, coworkers and vendors.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints or drawings.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand work orders.
• Load and unload trucks using cranes and equipment.
• Use measuring tools such as tapes and calipers where required.
• Operate overhead and wall cranes with remote controls safely.
• Check paperwork like mill bills of lading and work orders.
• Load/unload incoming trucks with chains, hooks and magnets.
• Inspect loads for inventory accuracy using color coding.
• Pick and package orders as needed.
• Operate equipment at workstation including cranes and torches.
• Follow safety rules at all times.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required.
