Job summary

Reliance, Inc. through Metals USA Flat Rolled Group seeks a warehouse associate to locate completed products, fill orders, package items, and prepare orders for shipment. You will operate conveyors, stackers, cranes, and forklifts, moving product safely within a steel service environment.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and reading measuring tapes/calipers with attention to detail. Prior warehouse and heavy equipment experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate.
• Basic math skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Able to stand for long periods.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Attention to detail.
• 2 years of warehouse experience preferred.
• Must have Forklift and overhead crane experience.
• Experience working with Heavy Equipment preferred.
• Ability to read measuring tapes and calipers.

Responsibilities

• Locate products completed in a first step process.
• Order filling.
• Package product.
• Scale and tag product.
• Operate plant packaging equipment (conveyors, stackers, downenders and banders).
• Transport items to the warehouse for future shipment.
• Operate overhead crane and forklift to move product.
• Identify defects and package the designated items.
• May perform other duties as related or assigned.
