Reliance, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler to perform order pulling, material verification, and basic equipment operation. The role supports metals distribution and inventory management within the plant environment.

Responsibilities include reading job orders, verifying material, operating cranes and forklifts, maintaining safety, and coordinating with the team to ensure efficient warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of warehousing or material handling experience.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License preferred.
• Ability to obtain certification to operate motorized material handling and rigging equipment.
• Clear oral and written communication; legible handwriting.
• Manual dexterity and physical fitness to operate heavy equipment.
• Ability to read work instructions and blueprints.
• Basic math and measurement skills, including fractions and conversions.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Move inventory or equipment, fill customer orders, pull material from racks, unload incoming material, load trucks and customer vehicles, and maintain the warehouse.
• Receive and return items into stock locations.
• Read and decipher work orders; verify heat numbers and material specifications.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, side loaders, yard trucks, saws, and other heavy equipment.
• Place materials into storage or remove them for order fulfillment.
• Tag material for identification and complete documentation.
• Sort and place materials by size, type, or product code.
• Coordinate with team to ensure efficient and safe machine and equipment operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Perform spot checks on inventory and restock materials as needed.
• Drive company vehicle for local deliveries and parts pick-up (non-DOT).
