Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Laborer responsible for preparing, handling, and supplying materials for other crafts on the jobsite. The role involves loading/unloading equipment, erecting scaffolding, leveling ground, and assisting with concrete work.

Candidates should have a two-year apprenticeship completed, with construction experience preferred, and be capable of using various tools and equipment. The position emphasizes teamwork, safety, and reliability on a dynamic project site.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of a two-year apprenticeship.

• Must be able to operate or use power and non-powered hand tools and equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment.

• Move and place mortar and grout between wheelbarrows and buckets.
• Clean up debris and waste on site.
• Place, push, pull and shovel concrete.

Mortenson is currently seeking a Laborer that will be responsible for the preparation, handling, and supplying of materials to be used by other crafts.

Mortenson is currently seeking a Laborer that will be responsible for the preparation, handling, and supplying of materials to be used by other crafts.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding (5X7X16) and staging
• Level ground for scaffolding
• Tend mortar and grout
• Lift, unload, move, set, and shovel mortar and grout between wheelbarrows and buckets
• General cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and unloading or burning debris
• Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete
• Vibrate concrete
• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must have completed a two (2) year apprenticeship
• Experience in construction preferred
• Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers; forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies
• Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
• *Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
