Job summary

Mortenson seeks a Laborer to support preparation, handling, and supplying materials for craft teams. You will load/unload equipment, assist scaffolding setup, and move mortar and grout on site, while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and the ability to operate tools and assist with daily site tasks. Visa sponsorship is not offered; must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a two (2) year apprenticeship.
• Experience in construction preferred.
• Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers; forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies.

Job description

Mortenson is currently seeking a Laborer that will be responsible for the preparation, handling, and supplying of materials to be used by other crafts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Load and unload equipment
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding (5X7X16) and staging
• Level ground for scaffolding
• Tend mortar and grout
• Lift, unload, move, set, and shovel mortar and grout between wheelbarrows and buckets
• General cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and unloading or burning debris
• Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete
• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have completed a two (2) year apprenticeship
• Experience in construction preferred

• Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback
• *Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
