Job summary

Alvarado Street Brewery in Salinas is seeking a kitchen team member to produce hot and cold foods to high standards, under the supervision of the Kitchen Manager and executive/sous chefs. This hourly role can be full-time or part-time and is based at our Oldtown Salinas location.

You will follow recipes, maintain cleanliness and comply with health policies, while contributing to a collaborative team environment and ensuring timely, appealing plate presentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year culinary experience at a restaurant, resort or hotel property.
• Hot and cold food preparation and sanitation skills.
• Good knife skills.
• Valid Safe Food Handling certification (ServSafe).

Responsibilities

• Prepare all necessary menu items, including soups, sauces and salads, as directed by the chefs.
• Discuss daily events and production schedule with the chefs.
• Make suggestions to improve the quality of food production and presentation.
• Ensure consistent product, portions, cuts, and amounts.
• Carefully follow the recipes and portion control guidelines provided.
