Job summary

Avenue of the Arts Costa Mesa, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, is seeking an energetic bartender to deliver friendly, accurate service and high-quality beverages at the bar. You will mix drinks, take orders, handle payments, and maintain a clean, inviting bar area for guests.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of bartending experience, strong knowledge of cocktails and liquor laws, and a commitment to guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• One year bartending experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of alcoholic beverages, cocktails, glassware and service.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local liquor laws.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety laws.
• Exceptional guest service skills.
• Cash handling skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Excellent oral communication and flexibility for weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Take beverage orders from guests and servers.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks per recipes.
• Record orders accurately and handle payments at the bar.
• Maintain bar cleanliness and stock, present menus and upsell beverages.
• Assist with opening/closing duties and restroom/bar maintenance as needed.
