Job summary

Hilton Orange County/Costa Mesa is seeking a Bartender to efficiently prepare and serve beverages with courteous, professional service. The role requires familiarity with liquor, glassware, garnishes, and upholding age-ID guidelines, while maintaining accurate cash handling and MICROS usage.

Responsibilities include guest relationship management, resolving complaints, upselling drinks and food, maintaining stock, and following sanitation and shift-side routines.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High work ethic and self-initiative.
• Ability to work in high pressure situations and resolve guest issues.
• Regular attendance according to established guidelines.
• Basic math and cash handling; familiarity with MICROS or POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages efficiently in a courteous, professional manner.
• Maintain bar supplies and prepare daily requisitions as needed.
• Know drink recipes, prices and available beverages.
• Identify minors and check IDs as required.
• Handle payments accurately; manage cash, discounts and tips.
• Upsell liquor and food and maintain sanitation.
• Complete sidework pre/post shift and collaborate with staff.
