Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong planning and project management skills with the ability to work under pressure and to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Passion and commitment for brewing.
• Able to lift heavy objects (50 lb bags) and stand for extended periods.
• Able to work in temperatures from 32 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Able to understand MSDS and handle chemicals used in the brewery.
• Able to multi-task and work both unsupervised and as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule including nights, days, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Complete brewing process safely and efficiently, including milling, mashing, lautering, wort boiling, cooling and transferring to storage vessels.
• Repair brewery equipment with assistance from other Brewhouse staff.
• Complete daily cleaning and maintenance checklists.
• Aid with yeast propagation following Company procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of all brew house areas.
• Coordinate with Lab Technician to ensure product quality.
• Follow standard operating procedures unless instructed otherwise.
• Communicate regularly with Granite City staff.
• Maintain inventory and report low levels to supervisor.
• Attend shifts on time with a positive attitude and complete paperwork accurately.
