Job summary

SSP America is seeking a bartender in Portland, Oregon, to join our team serving hand-crafted beverages and food at the Deschutes Hopworks and other venues in our portfolio. This role requires strong guest interaction, a reliable work schedule, and adherence to all state and corporate liquor regulations.

You will greet guests, mix drinks from recipes, manage orders at the POS, handle cash, maintain bar setup, and keep a clean workstation while ensuring safety and compliance during busy shifts.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of bartending experience required.
• Must have open work availability including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a timely, courteous, and friendly manner.
• Use recipes and practice portion control to mix, garnish, and present drinks.
• Input orders into register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest.
• Receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed.
• Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar at all times.
• Adhere to all liquor regulations pertaining to serving to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health standards.
