Cradle to Grave Freight Broker

Our client is looking for a Cradle to Grave Freight Broker to join their expanding team.

Job Details
  • Type: Full-time / Work from home
Responsibilities
  1. Research prospects on both the produce side of the business and the freight side, and contact them to generate sales for the company.
  2. Grow a book of business, develop weekly load volume with customers, and procure carriers to deliver those loads alongside our client’s carrier procurement team.
  3. Manage the process end-to-end from procuring the load, handling price negotiations, and ensuring accurate and timely submission of all administrative paperwork.
  4. Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure on-time delivery and support handling any difficulties that could arise.
Experience Requirements
  1. Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant industry experience as a Transportation Broker in produce and dry freight.
  2. Experience and relationships with produce growers and trucking companies.
  3. Understanding of the mechanics and technical aspects of brokering.
  4. Strong knowledge of contractual rules and regulations in produce and freight transportation sectors.
  5. Excellent communication and sales skills.
  6. Entrepreneurial spirit: proactive, innovative, and driven to make an impact.
Additional Details

This position offers a competitive base salary, with a pay range of $50,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year, based on skills and experience.
