Carrier Sales Manager - Private Trucking Fleet

Our client is a Silicon Valley start-up creating an AI-empowered marketplace platform to connect private trucking fleets, which are often underutilized, to the $50B+ US truckload market, aiming to decarbonize trucking. We seek an experienced carrier sales manager/representative well-connected to North American private trucking fleets. This remote position is demanding but rewarding.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new private trucking fleets to generate revenue.
  • Conduct platform demos for potential and existing fleets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue targets.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in HubSpot CRM.
  • Collaborate with marketing to enhance sales collateral.
  • Provide feedback to developers on service improvements.
  • Attend industry events for networking and promotion.
  • Contribute to setting company strategy and growth plans.
Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
  • At least 2 years of success closing private fleet deals for hauling third-party freight.
  • Minimum 3 years in carrier sales for a brokerage.
  • Startup experience is a plus.
  • Sales management experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SQL/VBA is preferred.
  • Proven sales achievement record.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, self-motivated, and capable of working remotely.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, preferably HubSpot.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
