Job summary

UNITE-LA seeks a Policy Analyst to support cradle-through-career policy priorities, monitor local, state and federal legislation, and help craft external communications with the Marketing and Communications Team. The role focuses on advancing opportunities for students and families facing barriers in Los Angeles and California.

Qualifications

Requires collaboration across cross-sector partnerships and teams.
Ability to analyze policy topics and prepare briefs, summaries and presentations.
Experience coordinating legislation tracking and stakeholder meetings.
Strong written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

Research cradle-through-career education topics to inform policy development.
Draft summaries, blogs and fact sheets for policymakers and partners.
Prepare briefing materials and talking points for legislative meetings.
Coordinate meetings with legislators and government officials.
