The role focuses on selling and originating residential mortgage loans to a predetermined sales goal in CRA assessment areas, pre-qualifying borrowers, and finalizing loans with attention to fair lending practices.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English; Mandarin or Cantonese preferred.
• Knowledge of real estate and mortgage banking industry.
• Knowledge of Truth-in-Lending and compliance with government regulations.
• Knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, and construction loan policies and procedures.
• Driver's license valid in Washington state.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating community outreach and development events to support CRA objectives.
• Develop relationships with real estate agents to generate referrals in CRA-assessed areas.
• Identify and originate loans that meet CRA criteria within CRA areas; pre-qualify self-employed borrowers and analyze financial records.
• Maintain loan file from application through closing and ensure compliance with CRA and fair lending laws.
• Submit completed loan applications within 48 hours of receipt; liaise with local governments and community organizations.
