As a CPU SRAM Design Engineer, you will design, improve, and analyze digital circuits for memories. The role involves full ownership of custom SRAM and RF designs from schematic capture to analysis and model generation.

Qualifications

1. BA/BS degree in Electrical Engineering with 12+ years of practical experience
2. Experience with designing SRAM circuits
3. Experience in industry standard custom design tools and flows
4. Experience with circuit simulation and monte carlo analysis.
5. Experience with static timing analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

1. MS degree in Electrical Engineering; 10+ years of practical experience
2. Strong knowledge of SRAM and Register File techniques with advanced custom circuit implementations
3. Strong knowledge of high-performance and low-power design features and techniques
4. Strong knowledge of semiconductor device fundamentals
5. Familiar with variation-aware simulation in FinFet and Nanosheet technology nodes
6. Experience with custom memory layout designs
7. Experience with all memory analysis steps including design entry, functional verification, layout guidance, simulation, timing, power and electrical characterization.
8. Good understanding of physical implementation impact on circuit performance
9. Proficiency with the following tools: NanoTime, Ansys EMIR analysis, ESP-CV, Liberate power analysis
10. Experience with memory logical models (Verilog) and functional verification.
11. Experience with BIST and other DFT features.
12. Experience with memory analysis flow development and planning.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Develop custom digital circuits for high-speed and low-power SRAM designs
2. Schematic capture
3. Layout planning and supervision
4. Functional verification
5. Simulation and margin verification
6. Timing characterization
7. Performing analysis steps necessary to generate all deliverable collateral models
8. Interacting with CAD team to ensure proper and efficient model generation
9. Interacting with Physical Design team to resolve memory PPA challenges
10. Depending on skill set, aid the team with contributions to modeling, DFT and/or analysis flow development.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits: $179,000.00 - $268,400.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
